Kylee is a big fat jerk.
She's my best friend, though. And she likes to give me a hard time for things.
Today, we were watching Hellcats and eating Ernies and she starting razzing me about my blog and how all I ever write about is Devin.
I let her have it. It was probably the funniest thing she had ever seen. I told her that it has never been all about Devin, and if it has, it was for good reason and if she was dating such an amazing guy, she'd do the exact same thing! She said, in between laughing, that it was hilarious because my voice was getting exponentially faster and louder as I went on... and I went on for awhile!
It was the most hilarious fake-fight we have ever had. Regardless of the fakeness of that fight... I really am doing this for you, Ky.

So... around the beginning of October, my good friend Tracey Lynn Peavler became Tracey Lynn Peavler CLEGG. Yup, she got married, folks. And from the proposal, all the way up until the actual wedding day... her life was consumed with wedding plans.
Those wedding plans included her pictures. Engagements. Bridals. Whatsoevs.
So when picture conversation came up, Kylee and Tracey would always talk about Tracey's good family friend who was doing her pictures for her. This family friend guy was the greatest guy ever, and they spoke so highly of him. Kylee said he was really cute and that she had dibs on him. I had no idea who they were talking about, so I didn't really care.
Once Tracey got her engagments, and then her bridals, we were constantly gushing over how amazing her pictures were. We may even be guilty of obsession. At least I was.
So finally, the wedding day came... and I went to the reception. I sat next to Kylee at a table, and Derek had come as my date, though we weren't together anymore. During the reception, Kylee leans over and goes "Katie! That's the photographer, Devin, isn't he cute?!" Derek kind of shot me a side-glance, so I shot Kylee a side-glance and didn't really say anything.
But he was cute... BOY was he CUTE.
A few minutes after that, Kylee, Shelly and I were taking a picture, and Devin, the cute photographer came over and said he wanted one with his camera:
I love this picture! And no, not just because Devin took it -- but it is way better then the one taken with my little canon point-and-shoot, haha.
Anyway... Devin always says to me that when he saw me at the reception, he thought to himself "I have got to know that girl."
Which is the cutest thing ever. A little while after, Devin and Kylee had become friends on facebook, and one night, Devin just couldn't possibly get me off his mind (yeah that's probably a total lie haha) and he noticed Kylee was on, so he thought that he would ask about me. And he did. And Kylee, very enthusiastically (apparently) encouraged Devin to talk to me, and gave him my number.
And then Devin and I started talking. The first time Devin and I did anything together was when we met at the UVU library and did our math homework. Romantic, huh? Among several other ironic coinsidences, Devin and I happened to be in the same math course at UVU, and both equally terrible at math. After we lost our mathematical attention-span, he took me to Sammy's Cafe and we had grilled cheese and I met his friends Danica, Ryan, Dane and Jordan.
We have seen each other every single day since. It's been about a month now, and it has been the best month I have had in a very, very long time! Countless grilled cheese sandwhiches at Sammy's, concerts, movies, college ball games, parties... but mostly math homework... It has been an amazing month :)
(this is the part that I am writing with the intent to roll Kylee's eyes...)
Devin is the best. He is so sweet and so nice to me all the time I am so happy. Devin is soooo attractive. He drives such a cool car. Devin has the best family. No, sorry, I can't come visit you at work, I'm going to be with Devin. He is so the best. I have never been so happy. Devin has the coolest friends. They are so great. Devin Devin Devin. I am so happy! Devin is such a gentleman. Did I tell you what he said to me last night?! It was the cutest thing ever. Kylee, did I tell you that Devin is the best? :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) Devin Devin Devin Devin Devin Devin Devin...
I hate you, Kylee. You're my best friend. I hope you read this every single night. On top of hearing it all from me every single day. Because it's all true and you know it and you're happy for me anyway! And you can't even give me crap for it, because you do it too!
In other news... That HUGE BLIZZARD that was supposed to be LIFE THREATENING... you know, the blizzard warnings that had people telling Devin and I as we walked into Macey's for some groceries, "Don't shop if you don't have to!"... that blizzard that had Macey's PACKED with panicking patrons... that blizzard that was supposed to hit like 5 HOURS AGO and still hasn't hardly coughed.... yeah it's not here... yet? I was hoping for some big, scary snow-in type deal. But no. I'm crossing my fingers it happens tonight while we are all sleeping so Dev doesn't have to work tomorrow haha
And you, stupid blizzard warning... even made Sammy's close early. We wanted pie shakes :(
Also... I bowled like a 140...something today. And I also beat Devin at bowling. I made him a bet that he would have to take me to dinner at Communal if I beat him. I won. The funniest part is that he has been planning on taking me there for awhile anyway... haha it was still fun. And I won! Best feeling ever. This is only huge, because Devin is actually a pretty great bowler. He even has a really legit-looking technique. And he bowls and bets against the big guys... Dane.... haha who bowled a 220 tonight, people. 220. 5 strikes in a row. 5-bagger? maybe that's what it's called... I don't remember. Anyway... I love Tuesday Night Bowling. Even if they play dumb music, and Fat Cats is full of hipsters.... literally.
p.s. My blog got a makeover, in case you didn't notice. I think it will get makeovers more often. I am becoming too indecisive.
