ding dong the witch is... sent home before hometowns week! + priceless family moments

i can't even believe i forgot to mention this earlier, because i'm completely ECSTATIC!

SHE'S GONE!!!!
Brad finally sent her home.
she was very successful, though.
successful in humiliating Salt Lake City, and the entire state of Utah, at that.
sorry michelle, keeping a fridge full of turkey and eggs does not make you soulmates...
go push some other man around
but leave carlos boozer alone

GOOD RIDDANCE.

anyway:

memorable quotes of the evening:

let me set the scene for you, first:

it's wednesday, and it's 7, which means glee is on...
devin's at school until 8 or 8:30 ish...
so i've got time.
i go upstairs to find the only other members in my family that like glee, already conveniently in the living room.
i'm getting excited, obviously...
"hey! glee is on! do you guys wanna watch?"
their response was delayed by probably 10-15 seconds

why?

because my young brother was playing some lego star wars wii game

WITH MY MOM.

and they said no.
they would rather play their lego star wars wii game than watch the awesome episode of glee that was airing as we spoke.

so i argued and double checked, and triple checked that they would rather play their lego star wars wii game instead.

they said yes, we want to play our lego star wars wii game, and your glee episode will just have to wait.

fortunately, my wonderful boyfriend texted me at that very moment

so i told them fine, i will go to my boyfriend's house instead.

they didn't respond.
probably too busy playing their lego star wars wii game.

when i came home an hour and a half later....
they hadn't moved.

so i just laughed at them
and took a seat to see what all the hype was about

the game was boring
but their conversation was priceless

(they had just found or unlocked or discovered or earned or won... new characters, and were changing the characters' looks to their liking)

Mom's looked like the lego baby of clint eastwood and harrison ford -- no surprise there.

plus also, she's mom. she's not technologically savvy -- and that's safe to say here, because she will never read this. not because i won't allow her to -- but because she probably doesn't know how.

needless to say, she was struggling to get a hold of how to use the wii controller, which is only funny because devin's 8 and 4 year old niece and nephew can use those things like professionals.

she knows she is ridiculous, and that is why i love her

"i just need to get some tights on this guy and we're good to go!"

oooh mother. how i love you.

the whole time they are giving their new characters these makeovers (?), mom kept hitting the wrong button and moving them around in weird ways

kyle: "mother!"
mom: "what am i doing?"
kyle: "you're pushing buttons!"
me: "well kyle, that's what you get for playing video games with your MOM"

hahaha
i love my family.

p.s. after my conversation with kylee tonight. we both discovered we have over 100 books each. i have 112. read all but maybe 20.
in case you were wondering...

I am so glad Michelle is gone! Yay! And your family sounds awesome and incredibly entertaining! haha... the first thing that i thought of when you said Lego Star Wars was Kayla and Kade.. i love that your mom and brother were playing it! I think my favorite part though was when you said your mom's character looked like the lego baby of clint eastwood and harrison ford... hahahahaha.
