A Very Ashby Christmas [Eve]

even though I was able to celebrate Christmas with Devin and his family last year while we were dating, this year was still special, since it was our first married Christmas! I took a lot of pictures, mostly of the babies, hardly any of devin and i. also, most of these pictures are awful quality, and that's mostly because Devin so lovingly pointed out that I take most of my pictures while covering up the light that helps focus the image... oops! but they are worth keeping to me!

Christmas was so good to us this year! I loved waking up and celebrating by ourselves in the morning, and then spending the rest of the day with our families. I love any excuse to see everyone, and I love Christmas anyway! We had such a great weekend celebrating the birth of our Savior with everyone we love! It was definitely a very merry christmas.

First stop on Christmas Eve's was Nana and Grandpa's for lunch! Nana and Grandpa are Dad Ashby's parents, and Nana is an amazing cook! All of her food is so great! I didn't take any pictures, but we had such a good time catching up with Rick and Michelle's family and I finally got to meet Devin's aunt, uncle and cousin who live in Arizona! They're awesome! i'm so glad I could finally meet them. Nana didn't let us out the door without some of her amazing food: apple butter, bbq sauce, and lemon bread. She is so thoughtful, she even knew that Devin was starting to collect old cameras and found an old polaroid and an even older Brownie camera! He is ecstatic! They are amazing, and we love that she thought to give that to us. Such a sweet lady! Lucky to have her as our Nana!

After that, we went home and relaxed for a little before heading to Devin's parents for our own family party.

Makayla played the piano for us! She is so talented! (She also got a book of "Tangled" sheet music for Christmas, and I can't wait to hear her play them!

I love this kid! Kaden is seriously the coolest kid I know.

Addison had to have her share of the attention! She promptly climbed up right after Kayla was through and banged out her own little tune. Later? She was sitting in the chair singing "Jingle Bells" - SO cute!

Dad opening the laptop we all chipped in to get for him! He was totally surprised and loves it!

Even more surprised was Mom opening her new Kindle Fire!

Sean and Chloe got all the babies Pez and other candy!

Grandpa Willis and Virginia Rae opening up the photo collage frame we helped Mom put together for them of all our family pictures we took in May.

Jason and Amanda get the kids an ornament each year. Addi's was a Minnie Mouse. The rest of the night, she walked around saying "oh, TOOOOODLES!" just like Minnie does on TV.

Opening their Christmas Eve pajamas! (another tradition Amanda and Jason have with the kids!)

Angry Birds pajamas! They are perfect for Kaden! He's an angry birds fanatic!

Next, Dad read us all "The Spirit of Christmas". I loved it! I want to find it so Devin and I can have Christmas books for our kids some day! (Maybe a new tradition?!)
