finally found the perfect fabric for my bridesmaids skirts -- got the perfect pattern.
also enlisted amanda's geniusness in helping me make some ribbon belts for them -- so excited.
spent my "katie-time" watching glee and hellcats. with coke and kettle corn, of course.
devin came over and we talked about finances while i made him dinner -- felt very domestic.
surprised him with a cinnamon roll. he surprised me with a tent. (he always wins!)
went to get an email address for one of his clients that was in paperwork at the apartment -- when we got there, grandma and grandpa were putting in our brand new fridge! we also helped finish tying that quilt -- we left without getting the email address. it's so hard to leave that place! it's so home-y and cute. i love how we've decorated it so far, and it will look even better once we're finished! -- felt very domestic again.
had such a long day at work, and now i'm totally exhausted. bbaaahhhh. oh well :)
plan to ride the bike again after work, and start on those skirts! it's gonna be a time-consuming process, but i'm pretty confident in my sewing ability after those tablecloths. me sewing makes me feel like a homemaker -- which also makes me feel domestic.
also -- employees at BBW can sometimes buy props that are old or outdated -- i SCORED and got us an up-against-the-wall sort of table... can't wait to sand it down and fix it up! it's perfect for our little entry area. i only paid $5! what a nice deal. -- these diy projects make me feel pretty domestic too.
plug in: have you tried BBW's newest scent, COUNTRY CHIC?! no? well you should. it's my new FAVORITE. it's musky, woodsy, floral, and citrus all at the same time -- in a good way. it's amazing. and there are awesome promotions going on right now, so you might as well stop in and say hi to me :)
on a different note -- since i've been getting sick so much lately, i've started taking vitamins each morning with breakfast (yes, i'm eating breakfast now -- it makes such a difference!)-- and it's helping so much! I take vitamin c and e, b complex and a multivitamin. that's kind of a lot.
another thing: it's been awhile since i shared with you some of the funny things callers say to me, and this is a really good one. it just couldn't go wihtout sharing:
me: "thank you for calling conference registration, my name is Katie. May I have your reservation ID, located on the ticket next to the barcode?" (yes, i have to say that every single time, haha)
caller: "yes, Katie. I'm HERE at the Doubletree Hotel, and the nice man at the desk says there is NO SUCH CONFERENCE! What are you guys trying to pull here? This isn't what I signed up for?! This is ludacris! How rude of you all to do this to a lady like me"
me: "ma'am... may I have your reservation ID?"
caller: >gives it to me<
me: "ma'am, I have your reservation set for the 28th."
caller: "I know! And I'm here, and they say they've never heard of this conference!"
me: "...it's the 21st..."
caller: "....oh. i'm a week early?"
me: (tyring not to laugh): "yes... you are."
caller: "oh, lordie" >hangs up<
BAHAHAHA. i love my job.
