a sunday

after church today, devin and i had some down time, which meant photo editing for him and a nap/"watching a movie" for me. then, i made a big batch of muddie buddies and devin made guacamole and we headed to my parents.

i was surprised when kyle answered the door! yesterday, every tiny movement made him wince in extreme pain, but today he said he feels much better (which i think just means 'on top of the pain'). the percoset (however you spell that) makes him sick, so he has been on advil. can you believe that?! advil hardly handles a bad headache, and he has a collarbone in pieces! he is pretty swollen all on his shoulder, but he is so positive and happy. i can't believe he has such a great attitude about this! i am amazed. he is such an awesome example.

since kyle just turned 16, he can now be ordained a priest, and even with this crazy weekend, he still didn't want to wait, and the bishop came over to set him apart. i was so glad to have been able to come support him. he is just that awesome!

after, we had some enchiladas and smoked wings (awesome combo, right?) and watched the superbowl. i stared at the TV the whole time, but didn't watch any of it. i was surprised by how much i just.... don't care?! haha good food, though!

at half time, we headed over to devin's parents to have some cake and ice cream to celebrate devin's dad's birthday which was earlier this week! you never know what to expect with that house full of people! addi was being hilarious, sitting between chloe and i, eating the cheesecake she stole from chloe, and kayla and kaden were all over the place!

also, last night when we got home from banner and harry's, Devin...

tried out his new sleeping bag,

and patched up his backpacking tent for his trip this weekend. it was hilarious.

what a weekend! with no new job yet, this week is going to be mildly uneventful. i plan on spending tomorrow cleaning, dropping off more resumes, and vegging on the couch with my little brother! (star wars marathon, anyone?)
