i knew today would be hard. i feel like it hasn't it me yet, and i can't anticipate how hard it will actually be when it does. needless to say, i'm not looking forward to that moment. i only spent a half day with carter and aria today, and i've been tag teaming with their grandma these last two days while she's been in town. after lunch, they had nap time / quiet time. after about an hour of sleeping, i checked on aria, and she said "i wanna sleep katie". she wants me to hold her and let her sleep on me. i did. i wanted to soak up as much of that little girl as possible today, so i held her while she slept for an hour. maybe shed several tears...
and then it was up and time to play. we had a blast. i've never had such a great day with them. about 10 minutes before it was time for me to leave, jamie and alex get home and jamie calls the kids downstairs to help her with something. a few minutes later, carter is poking his head around the corner of the stairwell saying "CLOSE YOUR EYES!" and him and aria each walked up with these:
carter's note said: "Katie, I love you. I am going to miss you. I hope you can visit me again. -Carter"
they are the sweetest. as i was leaving, they got on their bikes - carter is learning to ride without his training wheels and he's doing awesome!
i am going to miss this family more than i know. i hope they know how much i love them and am grateful for them! i learned so much.

Not going to lie....... might have shed a tear or two just reading this! They are going to miss you! I may not have been there but I know you were so awesome and they will really miss you I am sure.
Such a cute post...I'm sure they will miss you tons. What a cool experience though!
