recently

the other night at work, it was just me and one of my managers, Lauren. the riverwoods were DEAD so we had lots of free time... we decided that we'd draw pictures for our co-worker, Gavin. You see, Gavin just turned 21, and on FB, he asked everyone to draw him a picture... this is what I drew him:

i'm really proud, because our aprons look EXACTLY like that right now. you can't really tell, but Gavin is holding "Lay it on Thick" -- which is his favorite product, haha and i'm holding a bottle of lotion. I should have taken a picture of Lauren's! She's a total artist -- drew this hand holding an eyeball... it was really cool! Needless to say, he loved them.


the caption says:
katie: "hey, Gavin. you're super great and awesome, and I love your shoes... where did you get them?"
gavin: "thanks, I got them in London"


this is because Gavin has really cool shoes, and i've asked him about them more than once... haha


And yes, at work, I am referred to as "Katie Jo" to distinguish between all the Katie's... they've been trying to brainstorm what they'll call me when i'm married, and haven't decided yet, haha.


OTHER recent happenings:


sometimes, when i'm bored. i just start taking pictures. with my lame little point-and-shoot canon. but hey, it works just fine! even though the batteries drain really fast. here's some updates:

i catch milo doing all sorts of weird things, and sleeping in the funniest places and positions, but this was a first: right in the middle of my floor. the day before this, he was laying on the rug in the bathroom... weirdo.

don't let him fool you. right after i took this picture, he attacked me. now i have some bright red scratched on my hand... oops :)

so THEN i decided to play with my macro a little bit... and what better subject than this!?:

conclusion: a) i'm slightly obsessed and b) my macro's not all that great, and definitely not doing my ring justice.
